Welcome

I'm Jazman Patterson, and I want to thank you for listening to The Beyond Ordinary Show Podcast. The Beyond Ordinary Show is your weekly companion for living a Beyond Ordinary life. I'm proud to be your host and deliver stories, life lessons, and guidance to my fellow Beyond Ordinary people.

Okay, but who are you?

Well, I'm Jazman (she/her), and I've had an interesting life so far. I'm from Texas, but most of my adolescent development occurred in Georgia, and I currently live in Chicago with my partner and our three dogs. Together, we own the company Eli Nelly, which sponsors the Beyond Ordinary Show.

I am also a member of several minority groups, most notably the Black and gay communities. I have an endearing love/hate relationship with my ADHD. I teach and coach for a living, and I absolutely love working with kids because they have so much potential (and they're quite quirky). 

So what's the show about?

Speaking of potential, that's what I'm all about: visualizing the best in someone, especially those who have a hard time seeing the best in themselves because they are not typical. Whether someone is neurodivergent, an outcast, or just built differently, I believe these are all gifts that make us more capable once we hone into what's possible. I believe we are all very different humans, which makes us uniquely spectacular, and when we expand our vision to not just exist in our niche but to live beyond what anyone ever thought was possible for us--or even what we thought was possible for ourselves--that's when we can be Beyond Ordinary. And my goal is to offer a friendly voice of how to achieve and live a Beyond Ordinary life.
